Year 3/4

All about us!

The Autumn Term

Welcome to Year 3/4's area.  We are looking forward to an action packed adventure this coming year!

Teaching staff

In year 3/4 we have three teachers.

Mrs Breakell - Year 3

Miss Ormerod- Y3 / 4

Mr Clough - Y4

Our teaching assistants are Mrs Gee, Mrs Mercy and Mrs Harris.

Mr Fletcher/ Mrs Storton/  Mrs Paddock - PPA cover (all classes)

This term, Mr Clough will be working alongside coach Jake (FTFC) to teach all the lower KS2 classes in their PE session on a Wednesday afternoon.  We are hoping to return to swimming lessons as soon as possible and we will send out more information in the near future.

Please click the link below to log into Sumdog.  This is a fun, intereactive and progressive tool, to improve your childs mathmatical skills.

We will upload copies of letters here that will consist of curriculum information.

Please remember to check your child's book bags for letters as they often contain important information and sometimes permission slips.

Reminders will also be sent via our wonderful DOJO parent/teacher system so keep checking the App!

Home Learning and Spelling

This year we are completing just one main homework activity per half term, alongside learning our times tables home learning sheet to practise and these will be tested weekly.

Our aim with home learning is to make it as accessible for children so they are able to work more independently and to make it fun!

Please try to read daily with your child as this will help them develop their learning across the curriculum.

Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Knowledge Organisers

Knowledge organisers are designed to make learning 'sticky'.

Children are to learn some basic facts about the topics they are covering and will be quizzed at the beginning, middle and end of a topic. Please support your child in learning the information as there will also be little mini quizzes after a topic to see how well they have retained the information.
